Christina Cook, LL.B., Ph.D.


Christina applies her strong analytical skills and previous corporate law experience to issues of environmental governance (law, policy and institutions associated with governing environment and human interactions). She has specific expertise working with inter- and multi- disciplinary teams on water governance, water security and land-use planning. At the Hebrew University of Jerusalem she worked on water security, desalination and the politics of scale in water and environmental governance. As a Research Associate at Oxford University, Christina's research emphasizes participatory learning approaches for the development of new forms of water governance.
Christina holds a PhD in Resource Management and Environmental Studies from the University of British Columbia. She also holds a B.Sc. and an LL.B.; she practiced several years as a corporate lawyer (in Canada and in Qatar) .
